Etodezitramide is (2-Benzimidazolinone, R-4837) an opioid drug, a strong analgesic (Ki = 0.1 nM) approximately 10-15 times more active than fentanyl. This drug was developed in the 1960s by Janssen Pharmaceuticals, but it never went on sale for medical purposes. Etodezitramide is a designer drug designed for chemical research in special laboratories.
